What: Ignite! Community Theatre continues our exciting sixth season with the fourth show in our 2010-11 Booklight Reader’s Theatre season.  In one of Shakespeare's greatest dramatic comedies, The Merchant of Venice is the tale of two merchant men who borrow money from the shrewd, famed Jew, Shylock, in order to help one solve his financial woes and win the hand of his beloved.  As he does so across the seas, the debt is defaulted and the friend left behind must pay the consequences of their contract - a pound of flesh.  While a trial begins to dispute the legality of the claim, the clever bride secretly steps in and saves the day!
